The Hare is representative of Nicole and her personal parallels to the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, constantly bursting with exciting ideas and occasionally running late! She also pulled inspiration from christian writers C.S. Lewis & J. R. R. Tolkien, members of The Oxford Inklings, a group that often met at “The Rabbit Room” to pen out their inspired works.

The hive is inspired by Nicole’s sister Heather Mansel, beekeeper and founder of Bespoke Gardens. (Bespoke Honey is coming to The Hare & The Hive soon!) Nicole is a 12+ year business owner of The Pink Door, a permanent cosmetics and microblading studio in Jenison. Nicole attributes the possibility of opening a second business in Grand Haven to her husband, Todd Neumann. If she can dream it, he can build it, allowing them to accomplish their goals as a team together.
